Who wouldn't want to chill out for a night, enjoying food prepared by a chef, fresh bedding and the use of amenities, all while taking in beautiful views?
With so much going on in our busy lives, taking just one night out to bask in comfort and quiet, is needed for our own sanity. Taking advantage of the good night sleep and hearty cooked breakfast in the morning are part of my reasons for doing this when I can.
I have shared below my recommended stays in Northampton:
The Aviator Hotel
This small Art Deco hotel holds a sentimental place in my heart, with attended events and some memorable stays here, it is one that can not be beat. I say this because as the name may suggest, it is also part of the Sywell Aerodrome with the hotel bringing the aviation theme inside with historical items from the airports past hanging proudly on the walls, wood paneling in the reception and bar areas with views over the aerodrome.
The Falcon Hotel
Restored and modernised, this hotel can be found amidst the rural village of Castle Ashby. Offering wellbeing retreats, food reared locally and dog friendly rooms, The Falcon Hotel is the place to be to take a life pause. Nearby is Castle Ashby House which is open to the public, where you can enjoy walks around the gardens and the orangery.
The Walnut Tree Inn
Located in Blisworth, this 19th century built hotel can host weddings and many other celebratory events, in their wonderful event rooms. With a peaceful garden and an extensive food menu, you can really sit back and relax all day here.
The Stanwick Hotel
This hotel is quite unique, with its conservatory style dining room, the converted bedrooms and its location, the Stanwick Hotel does not fall short of sublime. The grounds are beautiful which can be enjoyed with a walk around at any time. I have attended a few events here and every one has been incredible. It is found on the outskirts of Northampton in a quiet and peaceful location.
Sedgebrook Hall
What a beautiful, serene and charming hotel & Spa this is! We stayed here for one night recently and are hoping to plan another stay very soon. We went with a package deal the hotel was offering, which included 3 course evening meals, the use of the pool and jacuzzi, a room for the night and breakfast in the morning. It was truly the great escape that we needed. Staff were friendly and the views were breathtaking. There were parts of the hotel that might be classed as old and in need of decorating but we had read the renovations had started and would proceed over the hotel in time. They sure do know how to treat guests, we could not have felt more comfortable and relaxed at this hotel.
Why do it?
Hotels have to pride themselves among a competitive market now, ensuring staff remain professional, the food is of quality standard and the rooms are clean and fresh. Your overall experience is what they strive to compete for. So when you plan your next stay, embrace the adventure and tantalising memory.
